EVA MAY FREEMAN Peacefully, on March 27, 2003, Eva May Freeman passed away at the age of 87 years with her family by her side at Park Manor Personal Care Home. Eva is survived by her two daughters, Gail Beavis (Alfred) and Lois Peters (Aaron) her grandsons, Corey, Roy (Teresa) and their children, Scott, Cody and Austin, Lenny (Mary-Anne) and their children, Reanna and Brenden; granddaughter Nora and her children, Melissa and Michaela. Also survived by her special friends, Kathy and Richard Hansell. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1971 and grandson Allan in 1983. Eva worked at St. Boniface Hospital for many years in the dietary department while raising her daughters. She was well known for her baking, especially her bread. Eva spent her last eight years at Park Manor Personal Care Home, a place where she felt very safe and comfortable. She enjoyed the exercise programs, yearly camping trips, shopping trips and the beauty club. Eva really enjoyed sharing her SPIRITS with the staff. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the staff at Park Manor for the great care she received over the past eight years, and the special care she needed over the past year. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31 at 2:30 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy No. 1 East at Navin Road. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evas memory to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities Inc., 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3B1.
