DARCY LAVOIE With great sorrow to his family and friends, Darcys journey came to an abrupt end accidentally, while travelling in India on March 27, 2003, his 29th birthday. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Wilfred and May; brother Alan (Trish) sisters, Debbie (Craig) Ross, Leanne (Wayne) Yashuk; and the special loves of his life, his nieces and nephews: Stephen, Lisa, Mandy, Alex, Kristy, Danielle, and Eric. He spent his last few months in Thailand where he studied, travelled and tried to make a difference to many poor families and children. He was a gentle spirit who loved children, animals and nature. He was a true and loyal friend. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, at Holy Redeemer Church, 264 Donwood Dr., officiated by Fr. Baudry, with lunch to follow. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Dziadek, Ryan Linton, Jason MacDonald, Kelly McElrea, Andy Michalowski and Elliot Unger. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Darcys memory may be made to Rossbrook House, 658 Ross Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 1C6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
