EDWARD FRANCIS COOK Edward Francis Cook, 70, of Norwalk, CT, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at the Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. He was the husband of Sheila R. Bridges Cook. Mr. Cook was born December 7, 1932 in Winnipeg, MB, Canada, son of the late Arthur F. and Alice A. Moore Cook. Mr. Cook was a retired home office insurance underwriter, having worked in the life insurance industry for over 50 years. He sang Barbershop for over 25 years, most recently with the Bridgeport Coastal Chordsmen, a branch of SPEBQSA. He also sang in the St. Matthews Church Parish Choir. Survivors also include two daughters, Susan M. Preece of Mount Kisco, NY and Rosemary A. Richmond and her husband Thomas of Stella, ON, Canada; five brothers and sisters, Anne Melvin, Michael Cook, Kathleen Morris, Roland and Roger Cook, all of Canada; four grand-children, Matthew C. and Edward N. Preece, Ciara E. and Barry E. Richmond; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Alice Finlay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 31, 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, CT, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Friends may call at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence, West Broad Street and Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06902. In Winnipeg, a memorial mass is to be celebrated at St. Charles RC Church, 395 St. Charles St., at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, with celebrant Msgr. Michael Moore.
