EMILIA JANINA MARSHALL (nee SMOLAK) October 12, 1914 - March 24, 2003 Millie passed away peacefully on March 24, 2003 at the Victoria Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her family, sisters, Leona, Carrie, Kit (Michael) and brother Edward (Olive) and her many nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by her parents, John and Francis Smolak; and her nephew Edward Smolak. Born in Winnipeg on October 12, 1914, Millie attended King Edward and Isaac Newton schools and later worked at Eatons Mail Order before moving to Toronto. When she moved back to Winnipeg she lived in her home on Spruce Street for many years. She loved her home and her independence. She was content and happy with her life and being close to her family. When she had to move, due to her health, she did so with dignity and acceptance. We have lost a kind and gentle lady. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
