KATHERINE (KAY) SWATIUK (nee SLOBODZIAN) It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Kay Swatiuk, aged 88, beloved wife of Harry, on Friday, March 28, 2003 at Concordia Hospital. Besides her loving husband of 58 years, Kay leaves to mourn two sisters, Marie Lewco and Christina Dudych; one brother Joseph (Sally) Hryhorko; sisters-in-law, Margaret, Pat and Susan; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom Kay treated as her own children. Kay was a long-time member of the Holy Eucharist U.C. Church. Kay was a devoted wife and loved family get-togethers. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with viewing one-half hour prior to service, with Rev. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kays memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
