PAULA LAVIOLETTE (nee FROEHLICH) With sorrow but "Gods Promise of Eternal Life" we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Saturday, March 29, 2003. Paula was born May 16, 1923 in Marquis, SK to Mary Ellen OBrien and Leonard Froehlich. She moved to Winnipeg in 1945 and met her husband Alex Laviolette. They were married on May 14, 1946. Paula worked at St. Boniface Hospital and Holy Family Nursing Home before ill health forced her to take an early retirement. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandra Precourt who lived with her and was the light of her life for her last years, Janet Laviolette (Wayne Ramlal), Grant (Wanda) and Kim (Stan Martens) grandchildren, who meant the world to her and she to them, Dana Laviolette, Michelle (Mike Haddad), Ryan Precourt (Leanne), Colette (Steve) Renee, Danielle Laviolette, Kerry Lynn Lewis, Derek (Little Boy Blue), Karly Pauline (my little angel) great-grandchildren, James, Brett, Mercy, and Kierra Rose. Paula also leaves to mourn her sisters, Audrey, and Shirley (George) Waldenberg; brothers, Joseph Froehlich and Gary Froehlich. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, son Mark on September 3, 1992, infant son Joseph, granddaughter Kristy, sister Alice and husband Francis Maher, brother Leonard and wife Adele, brother-in-law Fred Shearer, sister-in-law Elsie Froelich. The Rose A rose may lose its bloom but the fragrance lingers long A bird may fly away yet we still recall its song So when someone who is loved departs to join the Lord above, They will live and laugh and be with us in memories of love. So we would like to thank everyone who has been a part of Paulas journey from this life to the next. We know she is a much better place and yet has left her mark on us who remain. She will always be with us. We the family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their support in this trying time. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 2, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 St. John Brebeuf Pl. with Rev. Fr. Michael Koryluk officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
