Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES ARTHUR GORDON (GORDIE) WESTMACOTT March 17, 1918 - March 27, 2003 The family of Gordie Westmacott celebrates the life of their much loved husband, father and grandfather. Gordie passed away on March 27, 2003 at Sarcee Auxiliary Hospital in Calgary. Gordie was never happier than when his family was around him. He found great pleasure in sitting quietly and enjoying the activity that occurred when members of the family got together. He loved to share his interest in sports, politics, and business with close friends and family. His strong values of honesty, reliability, generosity, and trustworthiness were present in all aspects of his life and served as a strong model for his children and grandchildren. Gordie is survived by his wife of 61 years Dooley, son Marty (Penny), daughters, Penny (Greg) and Jay (Glenn). Gordie is also remembered by eight grandchildren, Gord (Merrylee), Kjelti (Ryan), Heidi (Scott), Robyn (Sean), Brennan, Kent, Kyle, and Colleen. In keeping with Gordies wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a future date. If desired, contributions may be made to the Sarcee Auxiliary Hospital Volunteer Fund in care of Carewest Sarcee Auxiliary Hospital, 3504 - 29 Street S.W., Calgary, Alberta, T3E 2L3 or the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
