Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTOON (TONY) HEYMANS Peacefully, with his family by his side, Antoon Gerardus Heymans (Tony), passed away on March 31, 2003 at the Grace General Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory Phyllis, his loving wife of 48 years; daughters, June Thompson, Louise Merck (Anne), Margaret Ward (Bob), Susan Rae (Tom) son Peter; his sisters, Sister Greet Heijmans and Nels Heijmans; brother Peter Heijmans (Lowena) grandsons, James, Gabriel, Luke, Iain, Colin, and Graeme. He is also survived by numerous other relatives in the Netherlands. Tony immigrated to Winnipeg from the Netherlands in 1955. A gardener by trade, Tony worked at Great West Life, doing what he loved for 20 years. During his retirement he enjoyed his cottage, his gardening and looking after his tropical fish. He will also be missed by his three "girls" Heidi, Jennifer and Angel and Rusty the cat. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Grace General Hospital I.C.U. and the 3rd Floor ward. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, April 3 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements in care of: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Cemetery and Crematorium 885-9715

I worked with Tony at Great-West Life in 1980. Tony was a great person to work with and knew gardening very well. Tony was always a "happy go lucky" type of person to be around. We had many laughs together and he shared his stories of growing up in the Netherlands with me. I am born in Belgium in 1955 and live yet in Belgium. I am not married have no kids and live in a small town calls Dilsen-Stokkem! I am very curiously or there is a relationship with Mr Tony Heymans.
