Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEX "BUDDY" ROSCOE Passed away March 29, 2003 in West Vancouver, BC. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his daughter Beverley Nedokis (Ron) son Allan; grandchildren, Chris and Emily; brother Eugene; sister Joyce; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Stephanie; his parents, Nicholas and Katherine; brothers, Steve, John, Raymond, Walter, Maurice; and sisters, Ann Kaminski, Mae Miller, Julia Batlowski and Martha Stupen. Alex was born on October 1, 1912 in Melrose, MB. He worked as a salesman at Weston Bakeries for 45 years, his route was in the Interlake region and his trucks had neither air-conditioning nor reliable heaters in those days. In 1968, he and Stephanie moved from Winnipeg to Lockport where they enjoyed country living. He was active at the Notre Dame church in Selkirk as well as the Gordon Howard Seniors Centre. Their family cottage at Caddy Lake was often overflowing with friends and relatives who were always made to feel welcome. Alex loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening or walking in the woods gathering wild berries and mushrooms. Alex was blessed with remarkably good health; his philosophy was, never go to a doctor because they will always find something wrong with you; it worked for him as his health didnt seriously decline until the age of 89. In March 2001, Alex moved to British Columbia to be with his children and he never tired of looking at the mountains. At Alexs request, a private family service was held, followed by cremation. Squamish Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
