RYAN SHYMKIW Tragically, on Sunday, March 30, 2003, Ryan Shymkiw, aged 30 years, passed away at Grace Hospital. Ryan will be sadly missed by his wife Denise; son Robert; mother Judy; step-father Don; mother and father-in-law, Bunnie and Denis; sisters, Melodye and Kristine (Matt) brother Jason; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Marilyne; nephews, AJ and Nicholas; special friends, Dereck, Rob, Butch, Livio, Trent; and numerous family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Robert in 1994 and Baba Pauline in 2002. Ryan was born in Winnipeg at St. Boniface Hospital on October 19, 1972. He attended various schools including R. B. Russell Trade School. Ryan worked at various jobs, most recent being E. H. Price as a Punch Press Operator. He loved the outdoors and had many interests including hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his wife, his son, friends and family. A tradesman at heart, remodelling his home, fixing his and other peoples cars, anything that required a special touch or his helping hand, he would be there. Special Thanks to the staff of the Emergency Department of Grace Hospital, nurse Cheryl, Chaplain Lieutenant-Colonel Maxwell Ryan and especially to his friend Dereck Glesby, who was with him as a friend right to the end. Thank-you Dereck for being there and all you did. We love you. Prayers and viewing will be held on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m., also at the chapel, with Lieutenant-Colonel Maxwell Ryan officiating. Service will terminate at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ryans memory will be accepted by the family for the future care and education of his son or to a charity of ones choice.
