RAYMOND GILMORE Peacefully on April 4, 2003, with the warmth and love of his family by his side, Raymond Gilmore lost his battle with cancer at Grace Hospital. He leaves to mourn his best friend and loving wife of 47 years Janet, children, Brian (Cathy), Bruce (Debby), Brent (Diane), Blake (Carol), and Karen (Don) grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Sarah, Justin, Jake, Mary, Brittney, Caitlin, Kristina, Zachary and Colin; brother Leroy (Marion) of Kitchner, ON. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Bertha Gilmore of Brantford; sister Dorothy of Beamsville, ON; and father-in-law Alex Hucaluk. Ray was born on February 15, 1936 in Waterford, ON. He joined the RCAF and served from 1953 to 1972. After the service he went to work for Ilford Riverton Airways which changed to Air Manitoba where he met and made many friends. Many, many thanks to the 4th floor nurses especially Donna and Janet, Dr. P. Harris and the nurses in oncology (Holly, Dale, Cathy and Maria). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
