Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD (DICK) BARNES Dick passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday morning, March 30, 2003 at Fairview Personal Care Home at the age of 88. Dick was born on December 21, 1914 in Winnipeg. He spent his early years in Headingley and St. James until he joined the Air Force in 1943, the same year he married Joan Westacott. After serving overseas with the R.C.A.F., he and Joan settled in St. Vital where he lived until 1991. Dick was a carpenter with Traders Building for 30 years. He enjoyed visiting his grandchildren in Brandon and visiting with friends and neighbours in Winnipeg. He moved to Brandon in 1991 to be close to his family where he lived until his passing. Dick was predeceased by his wife Joan and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Bill and Sharon and grandchildren Richard and Sandra. Rest in peace Dad, you will always be in our hearts. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
