PETER DEREK KNIGHT Peacefully on March 30, 2003, Peter Knight passed away at the Grace Hospital after a heroic battle with cancer. Pete was born on April 24, 1924, and lived most of his life in Charleswood, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Edna, son Richard, and brother Buster. He is survived by his daughter Sheila; two brothers, Ken (Gwen) of Calgary and Ted (Suzanne) of Regina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was a former Sergeant in the P.P.C.L.I. and was an active member of the Charleswood Branch of the Canadian Legion. He was employed for most of his adult life with Canada Post. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Lieutenant-Colonel Maxwell Ryan officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Peters name to the Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7, would be appreciated.
