HELEN (NELLIE) MILLER HARRIS 1907 - 2003 On Tuesday, April 2, 2003 Nellie passed away with her family by her side at the Stonewall Hospital. She was born to the late Ben and Elizabeth Bain and was raised on the farm at Grosse Isle. She worked the family farm until 1974. She loved nature, animals and feathered friends. She loved photography and was an excellent artist. The Prairie Dog Train was dear to her heart and she drove every summer Sunday to see it. She moved into Stonewood Place in 1999 and enjoyed many new friendships. She was predeceased by her husband George; sisters, Gwladys, Evelyn, Elizabeth; and brothers, Jim and Danny. Survived by sister-in-law Ina McIntyre, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, Saturday, April 5 at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Mohamdee and the staff of the Stonewall Hospital for their kindness to Nellie and her family.
