Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNICE M. STEPHENSON We sadly announce the death of our mother and grandmother, Bernice Marion on Saturday, March 29, 2003 in the Misericordia Health Centre. Bernice was predeceased by her husband, John Robert, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage; brothers, Cecil, Hilliard and Hugh; and sister, Ann. She is survived by daughter Pat and spouse Len; granddaughter Jenna and spouse Buzz; sister Kathleen Mulligan; as well as numerous relatives. Bernice was born May 26, 1912, in Winnipeg. She worked at Eatons for many years, retiring in 1973. She also bowled and curled on Eatons teams. She was a quiet, unassuming lady who was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good cook and we will miss the family gatherings, which included her specialties of Christmas fruitcake, lemon meringue pie and rum balls. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Misericordia Health Centre for your care and compassion during Bernices stay. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Edwards Church, 818 Arlington St. on Friday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m., with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Misericordia Health Centre Foundation, 99 Cornish Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1A2 or to a charity of your choice.
