DENIS ALEXANDRE ALLARD It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our father, Denis Alexandre Allard. Suddenly, but peacefully at the age of 86, after a short illness, Dad went to his eternal rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2003 with his family gathered around him at Tache Centre. Denis was born on December 3, 1916. He was born in Mariapolis, MB. Dad was a very hard worker. He was a quiet family man who enjoyed visiting relatives. He also enjoyed travelling, camping, fishing and loved playing cards. He was a member of the Belgian Club. Dad found joy in helping other people. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Raymond, Pauline Carriere (Lawrence) of Lorette, Maurice (Sherry), Pat Geurts of Edmonton, Irene Yanicki (Joe) of McCreary, Gisele Hagman (Robert Blanchard) of Portage la Prairie, Ronald (Bev), Gilbert, Jeanine Allard (John Vanvlack), Denise Helbren (Marc), Carol, Yvonne Sawatzky (Ben) and a long list of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Emma Melanson; brothers, Rene (Therese) and John. He was predeceased by his first wife Solange Menard; second wife Hermine Roch; mother Denise Allard (Lavack) father Albert; sisters, Lucienne Cormier, Jeanette Partyka; and brothers, Paul, Gerry, Bernard, Ivan, Robert and Lucien. We ask that in Dads memory you make someone smile, call an old friend or say a prayer for peace. Special thanks to the staff at the Tache Centre. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 5 at 3:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. Reception to follow. Cremation will take place and an interment will be in Assumption Cemetery on Tuesday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. P. COUTU & CO. Funeral Directors 156 Marion Street 949-4864
