MEROSLAW (MORRIS) A. HALASIS It brings great sadness to announce the passing of my husband Meroslaw (Morris) A. Halasis on Thursday, April 3, 2003 at Deer Lodge Centre. Meroslaw was born July 23, 1926 in Kolorie, MB. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Annie of 56 years of marriage; two sisters, Marie Korancki, Annette Gougen (Dan) nephew Daniel (Liz) niece Monique (Merik) aunties, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Alex Halasis; and grandparents. Meroslaw worked for Ink Company for 24 years. After leaving the Ink Company, he went to paint for Gulf Garages. He enjoyed curling and fishing. He had taken early retirement due to ill health. Meroslaw served in the Canadian Army for 1 and one half years. Meroslaw was a friendly person. He helped people whenever he could. I would like to thank the doctors, nurses and the staff at Deer Lodge Centre two south and seven west wards for their kindness and tenderness in caring for Meroslaw. A service of remembrance will take place on Tuesday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donation in Meroslaws memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. He only takes the best. God saw he was getting tired And a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around him And whispered come with me. With tear filled eyes, We watched him suffer And fade away. Although we loved him deeply, We could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard hands put to rest. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue 949-4872
