Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE MARJORIE HILL (nee LEITCH) Peacefully and with her family by her side, Alice Marjorie Hill passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at the Grace Hospital. Alice lost her own parents at an early age and found a loving home with her aunt and uncle. She became a war bride when she married a young Australian officer and moved to Australia. She and her new husband returned to Canada a few years later and settled in Winnipeg, where they raised two daughters and a son. She worked for many years at H.M.C.S. Chippewa with 25 years service and later for the federal government. Alice leaves to mourn her daughters, Noreen Hughes (Richard) of California and Shirley Shelest (Ken) of Winnipeg; and her son Robin Hill (Pamela) of Winnipeg; her grandchildren, Graham and Cameron Hughes, Ryan and Megan Shelest and Janelle and Brendan Hill. Alice was predeceased by her husband Les Hill and her brother Harold Leitch. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Interment at Brookside Cemetery.
