SAMUEL (SAM) STEBELESKI December 31, 1922 - April 3, 2003 Peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital Sam passed away at the age of 80. He was born on the family homestead in Olha, MB. Sam was the second youngest child of Fred and Catherine. He attended Marconi School and started working when he was 15, as a hired hand for various farmers before moving to Winnipeg. Sam joined the Royal Canadian Armed Forces. He served as a civil servant travelling to the Orient. Upon his return he cooked at the Officers Mess where he met and married Pauline Strilaeff in 1954. They were blessed with two daughters, Joanne and Diane. Sam retired as 1st Chef from the R.C.M.P. building in 1986. He travelled to Las Vegas, Russia and British Columbia during his retirement. Sam was predeceased by his loving wife Pauline in 1990; parents, Fred and Catherine; brothers, Nick, Bill, Peter, Stanley and Walter; sisters, Lil, Mary and Sophie. Sam is survived by his daughter Joanne and husband Paul Feldvari, their children, Natasha (Chris), Rhiannon, Tristan and Devryn, great-grandchildren, Kyle and McKenna; daughter Diane, children, Ashley and Evan and great-grandson Curtis. He is also survived by his youngest brother Matt, sisters-in-law, Rose and Jessie and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided to our father these past six months. Special thanks to Dr. David Ross and Ruth for the exceptional care and kindness they gave to our father over the past ten years and to his good friend Mike Pasieka who faithfully visited our father weekly. Prayers will be on Monday, April 7, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m. also at Cropo Chapel with Rev. Fr. Dmytro Dnistrian, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Messrs Ernie Stebeleski, George Pasieka, Mervin Stebeleski, Wayne Demanski, Darryl Maydanuk and Chris Parson. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
