Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCYRIL CLEMENT WALLIS 1914 - 2003 Peacefully, surrounded by his family, our husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa, Cyril, passed away on March 31, 2003 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lorraine; his children, Beverly Papageorgiou (Michael), Gerry (Pat), Linda Tsouras (George), and Ron (Marj) grandchildren, Don and Dave Wallis, Lori Capuno (Edmond), Kathy Jensen (Chris), George Papageorgiou (Andrea), Jenn, Jon and Jackelyn Tsouras, Lyndsey and Matthew Wallis; and great-grandchildren, Breanne and Taylor Wallis, Katrina and Alex Capuno, and baby Jensen due in June. He is also survived by sisters, Rita McLeod and May Slade, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Gwen Love. Grandpa was born in Lavenham, MB on May 18, 1914. He married Lorraine Thompson on February 8, 1935. They lived in numerous towns in Manitoba until settling in Gladstone in 1950. He was employed with the CNR from 1934 until 1958. He then worked at Reids Garage until they retired to Winnipeg in 1977. Grandpa was a member of the Gladstone Masonic Lodge, and became a Master. He was an avid curler, and enjoyed sports and hunting. They travelled coast to coast across Canada by railway and were snowbirds for the better part of 25 years, travelling to Hawaii, California and Florida. Grandpa loved having his family around him. He will always be with us at Saturday night family dinners. A private family service was held on April 3. "Im going to bed now, last one out, turn out the lights." Goodnight Grandpa, we love you.
