Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE (SUSAN) ANDERSON Rose (Susan) Anderson passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, on Friday, April 4, 2003 at the age of 79. She lived at CGS Manor, on Mountain Avenue. Born in Elfros, SK, on March 12, 1924. Rose was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Sarna and both mother and father to her children Grant and Wendy. Rose is survived by her son Grant Anderson and his wife Lese of Vancouver, BC; daughter Wendy Scott and her husband Jim of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren, Kyle Scott and his wife Carol of Westfield, NB, Meghan and Jessica Scott of Fredericton; and one great-grandchild Zachary. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary (Danny) Joss of Winnipeg and Vickie (Alfie) Leonard of Edmonton, AB, as well as many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her brother Phillip Sarna; sisters, Anne Mazur, Frances Hicks, and Julie Korchynski. Rose worked for 44 years at Eatons starting on the floor, going to delivery and accounting. She loved her work and all the friends from those years. After retirement Rose travelled between Fredericton and Vancouver continuing to make friends wherever she went. Rose gave her humour, wisdom, and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed her garden in Fredericton, and "Bud" in Vancouver. Rose volunteered her time and organizational skills to many charities including the Terry Fox Run, the Diabetes Association, the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the North End Community Renewal. Rose also served as president of the Canadian German Society Seniors Manor. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with Msgr. Stan Jaworski officiating. Viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
