HERMAN KESSLER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Herman Kessler, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Herman died peacefully with his family by his side at the Health Sciences Centre on April 4, 2003. Herman was born on October 4, 1919 in Warman, SK and moved to Manitoba with his wife Mary, where he farmed and raised his family. Herman was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, trapping and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Katherina; wife Mary; brother Herman (in infancy) sister Tena. Herman is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mary (Bill), Bob (Margaret), Kathleen (Brian), Helen (Hank), Ann (Jake), Herb (Kathy), and John; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Dave (Mary), Susie (Ben), Jake (Helen), Pete (Margaret), Ann (Henry), Frank (Edna), Helen (Mike), Eva (Meno) and Abe (Jean) and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who cared for Herman in the Teulon Hospital and the MICU at Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 8 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Laurent Rec Centre. Pastor Curtis Reimer will officiate with interment to follow at Church Road Cemetery.
