Penner, aged 86 years, beloved husband of Mary (nee Doerksen), of Winnipeg, formerly of Lowe Farm, passed away on Monday April 7, 2003 at his residence. Besides his dear wife he leaves to mourn his passing his children, Harvey (Donna) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, Jim (Ina) of Brandon, Glenn (Marjorie) of Winnipeg, Marlene (Ken Davies) of Woodstock, ON, Gerry (Lee) of Winnipeg; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Dave (Mary) Penner of Morris; and sisters, Annie (Clanton Wiebe) and Tina Klassen, both of Winnipeg. Jacob was predeceased by his parents, Peter P. and Anna (Ewert) Penner; brothers, Diedrich, Henry, Pete, Ben, and John; and sisters, Helen, Margaret, and Mary. Funeral services will be held at the Kronsweide Sommerfelder Mennonite Church near Lowe Farm on Friday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Lowe Farm Cemetery. There will be viewing at Morris Funeral Home Thursday (today) from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and at the church prior to the service.
