FRANK EDWARD WAZNEY After a brief illness, at the Selkirk and District Hospital, we announce the passing of our dad, dziadziu and gigi on April 8, 2003, aged 66 years. Frank was born February 27, 1937. He was predeceased by parents, John and Paulena of Melrose, MB; brothers, Stanley and Walter; sisters, Frances Ward and Mary Dzialik. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Carla (Darin) Rudd; grandchildren, James, Joshua and Kylie; son Darryl, his children Tyler and Brenden, (girlfriend Lise and her son Felix) brothers, Casmir, Joe and Charlie; sisters, Joan Wazny, Helen Tone and Pauline Szymanski; extended family, Janice and Conn Thiessen, Scott Wazney, Debra Roels, Bernard Brien, Elinor Tante and Joe Pesse. He also leaves numerous other family members, and close friends far and near. Frank served in the air force from 1955-1978, last being stationed in Ottawa, ON as an aero technician. He also worked for Algonguian College in Ottawa as maintenance personnel, taking an early retirement. In recent years, he enjoyed gardening and cooking for family and friends. Frank was very much a people person and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends and those memories will be with us forever. A mischievous glint in his eyes, reflected the love of adventure and escapades for which he will always be remembered. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. A viewing will be held one half hour prior to service and cremation will follow. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Selkirk and District Hospital, Doctors Speers and Racette and the Selkirk Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations in Franks name can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or Canadian Diabetes Association 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. We will always remember The way you looked, The way you walked and smiled, The things you did for us Are with us all the while. You never failed to do your best, Your heart was true and tender, You lived your life for those you loved, And those you loved remember. Rest, dad, dziadziu and gigi, Rest.
