Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY THERESA WATERS Suddenly while at the World Curling Championships Dorothy suffered a heart attack and subsequently passed away on Monday, April 7, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband Russell; parents, Matthew and Anne as well as her sister Mabel. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Crystal (Pat) son Gray (Tania) and her grandchildren, Holly (Bob), Dennis, Shannon, Scott; and sisters, Gladys and Elsie; brother Matthew (Grace) and sister-in-law Edythe. Dorothy was born on January 31, 1925 and was in Toronto when she met Russell in the Second World War. After the war they married and lived in Lac du Bonnet. Dorothy was a Town Councillor and devoted her efforts to the Royal Canadian Legion. She held many positions with the Legion including President of the Ladies Auxiliary Manitoba - Northwestern Ontario Command and President of the Legion Peace Garden Athletic Camp. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. from the Notre Dame du Lac Parish Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB with Fr. Richard Machura officiating. Interment of her cremated remains will follow in the Riverland Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Legion Peace Gardens Athletic Camp.
