MORAG ELIZABETH BIRD (nee SHIELS) Peacefully on April 3, 2003 at Riverview Health Centre, with her family and friends at her side, Morag Bird, daughter of Alex and Olga Shiels, passed away. Morag was born August 2, 1948 in Croydon, Surrey, England. She enjoyed life to the fullest since coming to Canada in 1961. Morag leaves to mourn her passing, her loving father Alex Shiels; brothers, Roderick and Fergus (Sally) nephew David; and nieces, Robyn and Angela; many relatives in Canada and U.K. and her best friend Mike. Morag was predeceased by her mother Olga in 2001. Morag was a member of many organizations including, C.M.H.A, Y.M.C.A and Eastern Star. The family wishes to thank the staff of 3E Riverview Health Centre for the care given to Morag. Their compassion made a very difficult time a lot easier to bear. Special thanks go to Grace, her case worker. Cremation has taken place and will be followed at a later date by a private, family interment.
