AIDA CANTADA Peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2003, Aida Sinigayan Cantada passed away at the age of 67, with her husband Eligio by her side. She will be remembered and lovingly missed by her husband Eligio of 42 years; her children, Romeo; Elizabeth Estrella (Albert), their children, James, Jeremy and Destiny; Maria Theresa Maglayo (Roy), their children, Gerald and Ryan; Eligio Jr. (Racquel), their children, Ayrton, Aaron, Azaria and Arrianne. She was predeceased by her son Roberto Cantada; parents, Guillermo and Marciana Sinigayan; sister Epifania Sinigayan; and brother Eustacio Sinigayan. She is also survived by her sisters, Regina Legaspi (Benedicto) and their children, Adelaida, Belinda, Cynthia and Dennis; her late brothers wife Dalisay and their children, Carmencita, Noel and Emielou (Reggie). Her aunt Amaling and cousins, Sayuno and Mendoza families all of Winnipeg. As well as numerous relatives in the Philippines and US. Aida was born in Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines. A graduate of Sta. Isabel College in Manila with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught for 17 years before she immigrated to Canada in 1973. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also leaves to mourn her in-law, Saldme Cantada, Sofronio Cantada (Dolly), Juliet Trillana (Freddie) and Edilberta Cantada; Tony Reyes (Alice) and their son Tommy; and Alfredo Reyes. A special heartfelt thank you to the Balitaan family, Elma, Ross, Rosselle and Vanessa; Dory and Jun Valera; Linda and Terry Morcilla for their endless love and support. The family also extends their sincere gratitude to all family and friends, and "Barkadas" for their many acts of kindness and prayers. We would like to express our appreciation for the care and compassion that the nurses and staff gave to our mom at the Health Sciences Centre on Ward GB3. Lamay will take place on Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, with reception to follow. Pallbearers will be, Ross Balitaan, Jun Valera, Terry Morcilla, Abe Ordonez, Jim Ong and Gani Sayuno. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS...
