Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR "ART" HEPPNER Arthur "Art" Heppner of Brandon, beloved husband of Kathleen, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, April 6, 2003 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, at the age of 76 years. Art was born on March 10, 1927 at Morden, MB. He grew up on a farm northeast of Morden and received his education there. During his lifetime, Art worked as Publisher of the Morden Times; General Manager of Pembina Poultry Packers; and Supervisor with the Kimberley-Clarke Flax Fibre Division. He belonged to many organizations: President of the Morden Chamber of Commerce; President of C.A.M.R., Morden; Vice-President of C.A.M.R., Manitoba Division; and he was involved with various other organizations in Morden and Brandon. He was an active member of Lake Minnewasta Water Ski Club, Morden Golf Club, Morden Curling Association, Canadian Ski Patrol System, C.A.M.R., Manitoba Division Camp Committee-Sherwood Forest Camp. He was also Co-Chairman of Morden Re-Union 1982 Committee and a Board member of COR Enterprises, Brandon. Art enjoyed downhill skiing in Manitoba and Whistler, BC, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Art is survived by his wife Kathleen; four children: Joanne (Whistler, BC), Duane and Myrna (Portage la Prairie, MB) and Cheryl of Brandon. He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, on Thursday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dave Ens of Richmond Park Mennonite Brethren Church officiating. All in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers. A private interment service will precede the chapel service. In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Art, may be made to the Gideons International (Brandon Camp), P.O. Box 20060, Brandon, MB R7A 5Y8, or to a charity of choice.
