Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIRGINIA WIERINGA-BRACKLOW On April 5, 2003, with her family by her side, Virginia Wieringa-Bracklow passed away at Middlechurch Home at the age of 84. Virginia was born on November 21, 1918, in Niederpallen, Luxembourg. She married George Wieringa in 1942 and came to Canada after the war. Virginia moved to Detroit, MI, in 1952, and after Georges death returned to Winnipeg with her sons. She married Frank Bracklow in 1978. Virginia worked as a midwife in Europe. She was employed for many years at St. Boniface General Hospital, where she worked on the wards as a nurses aide, and in C.S.R. and Inhalation Therapy. After her retirement in 1979 Virginia and Frank enjoyed travelling and spending the winter months in Mexico, Florida or Arizona. She was predeceased by her husband George Wieringa in 1958; and Frank Bracklow in 1995; and by her parents Barbara and Franz Karger. She is survived by her sons, Roger (Beverley) and Paul (Darlene) Wieringa; five grandsons, Chris (Tracey), Robin, Rick, Cory and Justin; and one great-grandson Mason. Also left to mourn are extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of B Wing at Middlechurch Home for the special care Mom received while living there. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing one hour prior, at Holy Redeemer Parish, 264 Donwood Dr., with Father Beaudry officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Garden, with reception following. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Virginias memory to the charity of ones choice.
