ETHEL FIDDLER Peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 1:49 a.m. with her family and friends by her side, Ethel Fiddler passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 73 years. Ethel will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years Abel Fiddler. Abel Fiddler would like all our youth to follow his example of love, and that we all should keep our vows. Ethel will be missed by her children, Lily (Burnell), Henry (Janie), McLeod (Carol), Lorna (Nestor), Elmer (Virginia), Yvonne (Mike), James (Roberta), Randy (Mary), 28 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was very devoted to her family, enjoyed doing crafts, especially her bead and leather work as well as singing in her church. She was predeceased by her father Alexander McPherson, mother Sarah McPherson, brother Agrippa (Archie), sister Sophie, grandchildren, Robin Kostiuk and Alexander Fiddler. Prayers were said Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Wake services were held Wednesday, April 9, 2003 and Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Abel Fiddlers residence in Garden Hill, MB. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 11, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Henry Fiddler Memorial United Church, Garden Hill, MB, with Rev. Jacob Keno officiating. Interment to follow at Garden Hill Cemetery. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Dr. W. Li and staff at Ward B-5 at the St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and also a thank you to the Intensive Care Ward at the Health Sciences Centre.
