Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEIJI HISANAGA On Saturday, April 5, 2003, Eiji Hisanaga peacefully passed away at the age of 94 years. Eiji is lovingly remembered by his wife Kiku; children Jim (Sandy) grandchildren Kimi (Manselle), Tamiko, Kiyoko and David; great-grandson James. He is also survived by his sister Ayako Ikeda, Edith (Ken) Atagi, Daison (Sayo) and numerous nephews and nieces. Eiji was born on November 11, 1908 in Tynehead, BC. At the age of 28, he married his beloved Kiku in Japan. They returned to Vancouver where he operated his business. In 1942, with the onset of the Second World War, the family were relocated to High Bluff, MB. In 1947, the family moved to Winnipeg. He was a member of the Manitoba Buddhist Church. He was a deeply spiritual man and prayed daily at his "hotokaisan." The family would like to thank the staff at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for their care and compassion given to Eiji. Your kind and gentle care will always be remembered. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Manitoba Buddhist Church, 825 Winnipeg Ave., with Sensei Fredrich Ulrich officiating.
