MARY JANE SUMNER September 19, 1920 - April 9, 2003 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Mary Jane Sumner of Winnipeg, formerly of Fairford First Nation, on April 9, 2003, at the age of 82 years. Mary Jane leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Rosaleen (John) Sanderson of Little Saskatchewan, Jean Williams of Edmonton, AB, and Beatrice Sumner of Winnipeg; sons, Samuel (Doreen) of Little Saskatchewan, and Ernest (Bernedette) of Calgary, AB; brother, Adam Beardy of Winnipeg. Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 1988; sons, George in 1985, Lawrence in 1998, Leonard in 2002 and Clifford in infancy; and her daughter Bella in 2000. Mary Jane lived in Winnipeg for quite a while. She resided at Central Park Lodge for two years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whenever she could, also having visitors. She loved to listen to gospel music on the radio or on tapes. The family would like to thank the Central Park Lodge staff, Chief and Council of Fairford First Nation, Anderson Family Funeral Home, and all the people who assisted the family by donating and through prayers. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, MB, with Pastor Wilfred Bruce and Jim Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Helens Cemetery.
