ROSIE ROBINSON Peacefully on April 11, 2003 Rosie Robinson of Winnipeg, with her family by her side, went to be with the Lord at the age of 73 years. Mom was born on January 2, 1930. Mom leaves to mourn her children, Walter (Lucy), Marina, Valery (Henry Bird), Hilda (Matthew Garrick), Floyd (Marilyn), Helen, Melvin (Jean), Lawrence Jr. (Rose) and Richard (Paulene). Mom also raised four grandchildren, Claudette Gabriel (Melton), Kimberly (Danny), Jason (Claudine) and Robert (Krissy) 38 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward and Victor Bone; special niece Ida Beardy; nephew Joe Anderson; numerous relatives, friends; Pastor Rita McKay, Southeast Pentecostal Church congregation and Auntie Mary Stagg. Rosie was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence on February 12, 2002, mother Sarah Jane Bone, mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and John Robinson; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Anderson; and three infant grandchildren. Rosie was raised and grew up in Dauphin River. Mom and dad were married for 54 years. They moved from Dauphin River to raise their family in Winnipeg in the mid 1950s. She was a devoted wife, mother and granny. Mom was a faithful servant of the Lord and helped dad throughout his ministry. She loved singing praises and having fellowship with many people. Mom was a very gifted craft person, sewing blankets, knitting and crocheting. She was an encouragement to all people and empathized the love of God with everyone she associated with. Mom was a respected Elder at the Southeast Pentecostal Church and in the community. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Little Saskatchewan Chief Hector Shorting and the Council, doctors and nurses of the Seven Oaks Hospital 5th floor, Unit 4, the many visitors who came to visit Mom and the family for their love and encouragement. Wake services will be held on Sunday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Monday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at the Southeast Pentecostal Church, 265 Flora Ave., Winnipeg with Pastor Rita McKay and Pastor Matthew Garrick officiating.
