Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE LANDRY November 17, 1929 - April 10, 2003 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elsie Landry, of Morris. She leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband Denis, with whom she would have celebrated 50 years together this June. She also leaves her two sons, Gordon Landry and Kim Landry; three daughters, Jo-Anne (George) Berthelette, Lynette (Don) Hildebrandt, Tammy (Duncan) MacKenzie; grandchildren, Lynnea, Patricia, Dana, Dale, Eric, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Kristen, Whitney, Chelsey, Jared, Brianne, and Justin; and great-grandchildren, Malorie and Brittney. Elsie also leaves her brothers and sisters, Roy, Marge, Freida, Ruth, and Bobby all of British Columbia, Tillie (Henry) of Alberta, Dorothy and Allen both of Manitoba; numerous nieces and nephews; and special cousin Ruthie (Manfred) of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents; Emil and Lydia Snyder; brother John Snyder; infant granddaughter Alicia; and nieces, Georgina, Lisa, and Jennifer. Elsie was loving and generous and always displayed great courage and strength which she said she had gained through her Saviour. She loved the simple things in life, her flower garden, painting, family pets, shopping, making homemade soups for everyone, reading her Bible, playing cards, or simply enjoying time shared with her closest friends and family members. However, her biggest joy came from the time she spent with her grandchildren, collecting rocks to paint with them, taking them out for fries, or just cuddling and reading a story to them. Before retiring, Elsie worked as the Dietary Supervisor at Morris General Hospital. She made many life long friendships which she treasured dearly. The family would like to thank Dr. Bob Menzies, the Dialysis Unit, and the entire staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre for the amazing care they provided for Mom during her lengthy stay there. You are truly Angels of Mercy. We would also like to thank Jan and "Moms girls" with Home Care Services in Morris for helping make a miracle happen. Without you, we never would have been able to make Moms wish of coming home one last time come true. We cannot tell you how much that meant to Mom, and to us. A big thanks to Dr. Fraser and the staff at Morris General Hospital for allowing her to come home so we could be closer to her and for making her feel comfortable and cared for. Viewing will take place on Monday, April 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Saint Maurice Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Georges Damphousse officiating. Interment in the Morris Cemetery.
