Peacefully of cancer on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at Torrance Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband in 1990, Laurence J. Peter and her sister May Lammiman. Born in Winnipeg, lived in Vancouver, Canada before residing in Los Angeles since 1967. Survived by her brother, George (Ted) Howe; niece Tracy Slater; and nephew Garth Howe of Edmonton; her brother William (Bill) Howe of Keewatin, ON; nephews, Thomas Howe and David Howe of Winnipeg; and her aunt, Phyllis Russell of Richmond, BC. Private cremation by Neptune Society.

Irene - You and Laurence were two of the most beautiful people I have ever met. Please forgive me for not staying in touch with you and Laurence. I was foolish and young. I will never forget the hospitality you two showed to me and my family (mom, dad, and sisters Neelu and Nira) at your house.
