SHIRLEY YULE After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Mom passed away at Oakview Extendicare on April 9, 2003, with her daughters at her side. Shirley was born on February 14, 1927. She was predeceased by her companion Stan Melynchuk in 1997 and her daughter Sheryl in 1992. Shirley is survived by her daughter Barb Hidlebaugh, son-in-law Mark and granddaughter Bree; daughter Bev Gosselin, son-in-law Bob and granddaughters, Ali and Dee; brother Bernard Amos; and numerous nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and British Columbia. Mom worked her entire career in the insurance industry. Once retired, Mom and Stan enjoyed "road trips" to British Columbia to visit our British Columbia family. We had some great get-togethers and Mom was always the designated person to bring dessert. Grandma was always there to cheer on her grand-daughters from dance recitals to graduations. She will be greatly missed. "Time takes away the edge of grief but memory turns back every leaf." Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14 at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
