Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER CHMILNISKY Peacefully on April 13, 2003 with his family by his side, Walter Chmilnisky, dearly beloved husband of Helen, passed away at the Concordia Hospital. Walter was predeceased by his mother and father; brothers, John and Bert; and sisters, Mildred and Sophie. Walter will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by Helen, his wife of 50 years; daughter Karen (Brian) Friesen; and son Dwight (Lynn) and his precious granddaughters Lindsay and Lisa. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Ruchkall and Stella Solar; brother Lawrence (Jennifer) as well as many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbours. Walter was born in West Melrose, MB on March 10, 1920. His first passion was farming and after finishing his shift at the Royal Alexandra Hotel he could be seen driving to the farm down the highway in his little red truck. His love of music and song led him to be a member of the Creative Services Philharmonica Band and he really enjoyed bowling with the Chateau Lanes Golden Agers. Walters zest for life was inspiring and he will be remembered for his positive outlook, his sense of humour and teaching us all how to properly kiss a goose. E - I - E - I - E - I - O Funeral service officiated by Rev. Earl M. Gould of Grey Street United Church will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m., with viewing one-half hour prior, in the Chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Sincere thanks to Dr. Harris, the nurses and staff of Ward N3E at Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care for Walter and his family.
