JOAN MacKAY MacGREGOR (FERRIS) (nee BUDGE) With great sadness, we announce the passing of Joan MacGregor on April 14, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by Don Ferris (1962) infant son (Kenneth) and Stan MacGregor (1998), Joan will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Lila Budge; nephew Wayne Budge (Wendy, Andrew and Shea) niece Sheilah Borys (Greg, Kelsey and Taryn) also sisters-in-law, Marjorie Neil and Verna Tivy of Ontario; other family, friends and neighbours. Joan was born and raised in Transcona. At an early age Joan began a career in hairdressing that continued until retirement when she went on to enjoy many happy summers with husband Stan at their cottage in Blind River, ON. Joans interests extended to sports, various crafts, and the crosswords. She often mentioned fond memories of her visits to Scotland. We will all remember Joan for the extraordinarily caring person she was. Thank you to the Grace Hospital nurses for their care. At Joans request, a brief graveside service will take place at Transcona Cemetery on Thursday, April 17 at 1:30 p.m.
