RONALD G. PAUL 1947 - 2003 It is with great sorrow that we announce that Ron lost his courageous battle with cancer, with his family and good friends by his side. Ron was predeceased by his mother in June 2002. He leaves behind a devoted father Howard Paul, loving wife Diane of 35 years, beautiful daughter Marla and husband George Merasty and two wonderful grandsons, Kaeden and Brenden. Ron was born March 10, 1947 and was raised and educated in St. Vital. Ron started his own business at the young age of 19. He ran Ron Paul Garden Centre successfully for 38 years. Ron was one of the few people who absolutely loved what he did for a living. His two right hands, Bob Anema and Peter DAvignon will take over the helm with his family. When not working, he loved to be at his cottage at Nutimik Lake, visiting with his neighbours and friends. His grandsons, yard work, travel, fishing with his buddy Pete were just some of his many great pleasures in life. Ron and his wife Diane were very fortunate to have travelled every winter since they were married, and have seen a large part of the world. Ron leaves a legacy to family, friends and all that knew him, of LOVE, KINDNESS, SENSE OF HUMOUR and GREAT INTEGRITY. He touched many lives in his short 56 years. Cremation has taken place. We will all join together not to grieve his death, but to celebrate his life at a memorial service on Wednesday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. in the Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. If you wish, instead of flowers, you can make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Very special thanks to Dr. Marinanne Kraun and staff at CancerCare in St. Boniface and Dr. Fiona Crow and special caring staff at Riverview Hospital on 3 East. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: EDWARD J. COUTU LTD. 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
