Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER GREGORY It is with deep sorrow and heartache that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Peter Gregory, who passed away at the age of 86 at the Health Sciences Centre on April 14, 2003. Peter passed away peacefully with his wife of 62 years at his side. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Olga (Ollie) dear son Ron (Barbara) much loved grandsons, Matthew Peter and Brian Vincent all of Seattle, WA, U.S.A. He was predeceased by his father Nicholas; and his mother Effie; his brothers, George, John and Nicholas. Peter was born in Hamilton, ON on January 5, 1917, came to Winnipeg at the age of 9 and attended Aberdeen School till the family moved to Old Kildonan when he was 15. There he met his future soulmate Ollie and they were married on January 25, 1941. During the war he joined the Army in 1942 and served overseas as a Signaler with the Artillery, and was honourably discharged when the war ended in 1945. He was employed with (TCA) Air Canada as a Ramp Supervisor for 32 years. He enjoyed working for the company and the employees very much. He retired at 60 years of age and enjoyed his retirement. Peter was a kind and gentle person, never had an unkind word to say about anyone and never judged anyone. He was a member of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Father Shyshkowich Council No. 8925. The family wishes to thank Peters brother-in-law and best friend Michael for always being there when he was needed. Many thanks to the staff at GD2 for their wonderful care and compassion extended to Peter during his stay at the hospital. Prayers will be said at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16 and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave., West Kildonan, with a Redemptorist Father officiating. Interment will be at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens in the section of the Old Rugged Cross. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
