ROBERTA McKERCHER On April 14, 2003 after a lengthy illness, Roberta Anne Justice McKercher (nee Hicks) of Carman, MB left this world and entered her final resting place, her suffering has been relieved. Roberta was born on December 11, 1929 in Stobo, Scotland, coming to Canada as an infant. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 50 years, Donald; son Clifford (Noreen) of Dryden, ON; daughter Donna (Norman) of Gananoque, ON; grandson and pride and joy Lorne and great-granddaughter Vanessa; two sisters, Bara Melom and Ada Hohs (G. Edgar) of Winnipeg and one brother George (Geri) Hicks of Montreal, QC and many nieces and nephews. At the time of her death she was retired from the Royal Bank of Canada, where she worked as a Switchboard Supervisor for many years. Roberta was a 34 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, joining in Yorkton, SK and currently a member of Friendship Chapter #67, Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place. At Robertas request, a private family service is being held. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
