ROSA ADELINE SASAKI (nee TAKATSU) March 11, 1925, Haney, BC - April 13, 2003, Winnipeg, MB With her family at her side. Rosa was predeceased by her father Shunsuke; mother Tatsu; husband George Choetsu; sister Kana; and brothers Kintaro, Don and Henry. She is survived by her sister Lee Elizabeth Matsuo and brother-in-law Fred Shizuo Matsuo; and sister-in-law Lena Matsue Takatsu. Forever the mother of Sandra Dale, Roderick Hugh, Leslie Allen, Dana, Christopher Paul, Celia Anne, Julia Elizabeth, as well as Geoff Christie, Susan Corrigan, Claudette Dumaine-Sasaki, and Ian Wilkinson - all of whom she put before herself. She leaves her cherished and precious grandchildren, Danielle Tatsuko Sasaki, Marielle Mariko Sasaki, Brian Choetsu Corrigan Sasaki, and Sydney Elizabeth Christie. The family sends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nicole Allegro, as well as Georgette and Janice of the Compassion Ward at Concordia Hospital, and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Rosas memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Viewing at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, on Friday, April 18, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Rosas life will be held on Saturday, April 19, commencing with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Knox United Church, 400 Edmonton St., followed by a reception.
