KATHERINE (ELIZABETH) WACHTLER (nee LANG) 1906 - 2003 Peacefully, on Sunday, April 13, 2003 at Luther Home, Katherine Wachtler passed away at the age of 96 years. She leaves to mourn her passing; daughters Eleanor Keyzer and Irene (Ron) Dufault of Australia; grandchildren Sandra (Ken), Debbie (Ted), and Doug of Chicago; great-grandchildren Shaun, Kristyn, Teddy and Devon; and special niece Jeannie of Penticton, BC. She is also survived by her sister Ann of BC; brother Henry and numerous nieces and nephews. Katie was predeceased by her husband Nick, infant daughter Dorothy, beloved son-in-law Edward Spencer, and parents John and Katherine Lang. Mother was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church and devoted to her family. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Luther Home who cared for her for the last seven years. A private graveside service conducted by Pastor D. Engel will take place at Brookside Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Luther Home on April 17 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Luther Home, 1081 Andrews, Winnipeg, MB R2V 3G5 or Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R2X 1N3.
