GERALD ARTHUR MacLEAN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Arthur MacLean, 73 years, beloved husband, father and grandfather suddenly, April 15, 2003 in Winnipeg. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lillian; daughters, Terri (Craig), Carol (Les), and Lori (Darrell). He also leaves behind his four grandchildren, Dean, Caitlin, Aylen and Aaron. Gerald was born in Nova Scotia to Charles and Hilda (Smith) MacLean. After serving in the military and then spending time working on the Great Lakes, he moved west to Alberta before settling in Manitoba. He joined the North Kildonan Fire Department and later transitioned into the Winnipeg Fire Department from which he retired after 25 years of service. After retirement he moved to Onanole, MB where he spent many happy days golfing, fishing, woodworking and playing his guitar. The family greatly acknowledges the efforts of the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service as well as the team of devoted emergency medical staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Memorial service will be held at Klassen Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 21 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Fire Fighters Burn Fund, 202-666 St. James St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3J6 would be appreciated.
