ROSE BEJZYK Peacefully after a brief illness with cancer, with her family by her side, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rose Bejzyk on Wednesday, April 16, 2003. She leaves to cherish her memory of almost 40 years, husband Harry; daughter Beverly McDonnell (Grant) sons, Brian and Bradley; her one and only pride and joy, granddaughter Stephanie; and her dog Lucky; three sisters, Jean (John), Stella (Michael) and Olga; three brothers, John (Millie), Nick (Stella), Alex (Diane) three sisters-in-law, Edna, Helen, Mary; brother-in-law Steve Bejzyk (friend Debbie) sister-in-law Julia Roik (Bill) numerous relatives, nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Maria Trafiak; four brothers, Mike, Bill, Peter, Fred; one sister Anne; mother and father-in-law, Hryn and Olena Bejzyk. Rose was born in Komarno, MB, on May 5, 1946. She was a loving wife, mother and the best Baba in the world. She was a kind and generous person, always making sure everyones appetite was full, even until the end. She loved the outdoors, her gardening and yard work and occasional bingo. She was known to lots of people as "Baba Rose," especially her co-workers at Charisons Turkey Hatchery. Rose will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Prayers will be held on Monday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church in Komarno with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment in Komarno Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her three nephews, Ken Trafiak, Greg Shupenia, Randy Trafiak; Steve Bejzyk, Bert Campbell and Stepan Beley. Honorary pallbearers will be all her friends and co-workers. The family would like to thank Dr. M. Loudon and entire nursing staff at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital who provided Mom with excellent care, comfort and compassion throughout her illness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of ones choice. Vichnaya Pamyat MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
