Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW (ANDY) KOROPATNICK August 27, 1927 - April 17, 2003 Passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by family. Andy is survived by his loving wife Mona (nee Grant) of 48 years; daughters, Dr. Shaun (Oscar) Lucash, Joanne (Les) Rozgonyi; son Grant (Esther) and grandchildren, Katie, April, Michael, Andrew, Robert and David, all of Winnipeg. Predeceased by brothers, Nicholas, Peter and William. Andy was born in Virden, MB, fourth son to Andrew and Anastasia Koropatnick who emigrated from Ukraine. Grew up at Newdale, MB where he received his high school diploma. Too young to serve his country, he watched as his brothers went off to war. In 1946 he attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with a degree in civil engineering in the flood year 1950. Andy was one of the pioneering engineers in Manitoba Hydros electric generating history contributing his technical and managerial expertise to 12 power projects over 37 years of service. Andy accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour in 1954 and faithfully served as an elder at Arlington Street Gospel Chapel. A private family interment will precede the memorial service. A memorial service to celebrate Andys life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Oxford Bible Church, 621 Oxford St. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Faith Bible Camp, Box 42059, RPO Ferry Road, Winnipeg R3J 3X7 or to a charity of your choice.
