MARGARET LAMBERTON MACKIE Margaret Lamberton Mackie passed away peacefully to her Lord and Saviour at home on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn, her daughter Mary Anne (Jim) Quesnel; her granddaughters, Andrea and Melanie; her nieces, Margaret Martin, Barbara (Ollie) Bisset of Scotland and Donna (Don) Shaw of British Columbia; her nephews, Matthew (Terry) Martin of Ontario, Tom (Doreen) Mackie, David Mackie, all of Manitoba and Ken (Diane) Smith of British Columbia; as well as numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband John of 60 years, brother John and sister Anne. She was born in Mossend, Lanarkshire, Scotland on February 9, 1919. Margaret came to Canada as a war bride in 1945. She and John lived in Winnipeg for 37 years, then moved to Calgary in 1997. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church (400 Midpark Blvd. SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Karl English and Rev. Robert Cruickshank officiating. A special thank you to Dr. Lisa Penner and the Palliative Care nurses, Mabyn Carmichael and Claire Ludwig. If so desired, a memorial tribute may be made in Margarets name directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre (1331 - 29 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2).
