MICHAEL (RAYMOND) NAHARNIE 1950 - 2003 All we have left are pictures and memories On April 5, 2003, Ray passed away unexpectedly in his sleep in Edmonton. He is now with his mother (Sophie) who passed away December 29, 2002 and father (Henry) in 1982. Ray leaves behind in Winnipeg his twin sons, Mike (Jayme and daughter McKinley) and Chris; his sister Betty (Ted) and their daughters, Monique, Michele (son Ernie (Yvette and their daughter Destinee), Nicolle (Fred and daughter Jessica), and his brother Andy (Dianna) and their sons, Darren (daughter Mhaiya) and Cory. MEMORIES: Hockey in the winter, BMX bike racing in the summer, and vacations at Clear Lake. Many return trips across the border to tournaments resulted in a van packed with Christmas gifts and beer. We never said it enough - We love you Dad! We are saddened that you will never hear McKinly say I LOVE YOU GIGI and in return that McKinly will never hear you say I LOVE YOU McKINLY. Christmas Eve gatherings with Sister Betty and her family - a joyous time of year, good food, cold beer, hot stove, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the kids with their presents. This was a day we all looked forward to where we would reflect on the year gone by and what the New Year would bring. I love you little brother - will remember you always. Playing ball hockey and giving you a broom to play goal. Wearing my shoes to your first school dance - they were almost as long as you were tall. Your first car - a 1963 red Ford. Our golf trips - 2 holes of very serious golf and 16 holes of laughter and then coming home to our wives with faces sore from laughing. Our fishing trips when we were lucky to get a line in water. Playing marathon card games with the wives. The quiet times just sitting and talking. When we meet again Ray, I drive the golf cart. I love you brother. So when a tear wells up in your eye, wipe it away, dont mourn him, but toast him for the wonderful precious memories. Your memories can be e-mailed to Rays family at www.rays_family.com. If desired, donations may be sent to Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family thanks Jeff, Darryl and Ray, and Rays neighbours in Edmonton for their help and open hearts they gave to Mike and Chris. Cremation has taken place. Graveside service took place Thursday, April 17 where he is buried with Mom at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
