Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUBY CLARKE (TOPHAM) 1916 - 2003 Suddenly, with her family by her side, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Ruby Clarke on April 18, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre. Mom will be sadly missed by her three children, Bob (Eileen), Jack (Cheryl), Cheryl (Dennis) and all of their children. Mom is survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Roy Topham, many nieces and nephews and special friends. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Lyle Clarke in August 1984; her brothers, Raymond, Albert; her sisters Hilda, Olive, Mildred and Jennifer. Mom was born in Togo, SK on December 28, 1916. She met Dad in Winnipeg in 1941 while shopping at his drugstore. They married in 1942 and moved to Glenboro in 1948. Dad ran his business and mom raised her family. All of her children and grandchildren have many happy memories of her home. She was loving, caring and fun! She always had time to play with her kids. She was a storybook grandma. After Dad passed away mom moved to Winnipeg to be close to her children. Mom was very interested in sports. Two hours wasnt too long to drive to a Bomber game, and she had season tickets for over 20 years. After moving to Winnipeg she continued to enjoy the Bombers, the Jets and recently the Goldeyes. If you ever needed the score of a sports game - just call Mom! Mom loved to try new and different things and refused to get old. She spent the last week of her life at the Worlds Curling Bonspiel. Mom touched the heart of everyone she met and was admired for her spirit and energy. She was a tiny person who filled a great big space. Many people are left with a feeling of emptiness now that she is gone. She will be missed! A celebration of her life will take place at Garry Memorial, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Wednesday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to a favourite charity. However, your warm thoughts and happy memories are all that is needed. Arrangements entrusted to: THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
