OLGA VILLENEUVE (KASSIAN) We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Olga Villeneuve on Thursday, April 17, 2003. A loving mother and grandmother, she leaves behind her children, Cynthia and Gary Wagner, Barbara and Arlandus Lowe, Larry and Karen Villeneuve, Tom and Kim Villeneuve; and her grandchildren, Laurie, Lindsey, Taylor and Evan. Olga is also survived by her siblings, Nan Yurkiw, Paul Kassian and wife Eileen, Jarvis Kassian and Carol; as well as many nieces and nephews. Olga was predeceased by her parents, Nikolas and Tillie Kassian; and her siblings, Mary Maksimchuk and husband Alex, Anne Bodner and husband Frank; and brother-in-law Fred Yurkiw. As one of Jehovahs Witnesses and a member of the Elmwood/River East Congregation, Olga has many friends and has touched many people. Olga in her modesty didnt realize how many people she had an effect on through her patience and simply lending an ear. She has connected with so many people and her gentle soul has given so much to those she loved. Olga enjoyed baking and cooking generously for family and friends; her creativity and intelligence shown through in her beautiful paintings and gardening; her love of life, the outdoors, and animals was evident as was her zest for travelling, hiking, and fishing with family. Her endless bigheartedness and generosity to others without expectations in return will always be remembered. Olga is a special soul who we will always miss. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel (1442 Main St.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
